Behind The Mary Dress

The Mary Dress is a new style for summer that is simple and elegant. Part of our Jersey / Woven dresses collection; it is made from our super soft jersey in navy with contrast woven skirt in our luxury light blue Picnic Check jacquard. 

The skirt has a cleverly drape bow fixed into the body of the skirt. A seam is made in the front of the skirt, where a separate draped panel is inserted into the seam and pleated to create the middle part of the bow. The bow straps come from another panel pleated and inserted in the opening at the top of the skirt where the skirt joins the body. This is all fixed in place to create a fun and oversized bow. The main skirt panel is cut from a circle to give lots of volume to the dress.
