Crown Embroidery

Our Crown embroidery was inspired by vintage fairytale book covers and royal crests. Our embroidery features on our Little Riding Jacket and Bootcut Shorts. We wanted to create embroideries that resembled our ideas of English Heritage.

When designing, we looked at various vintage storybook covers, fairy tales, enchanted forests, leaf patterns and script calligraphy. After collecting imagery we sketched our ideas, mixing leafs, crowns and hearts together. Designing with pencil and on the computer to visualise our ideas digitally. 

Our final design encompasses the enchanted forest, heritage crown and polka dots to match with our Snowflake Check story. We chose to embroider onto our cashmere wool blend suit to give it an extra touch of luxury and subtly link the two pieces together to create the overall outfit.
