Artist Focus: Hilma Af Klint

With our SS23 collection we indulged in Hilma Af Klint’s mystical views of reality.

Both biomorphic and geometric forms, expansive and intimate scales, and maximalist and reductivist approaches to composition and colour. Shades of juvenile floral blues to soft pinks, mauves and whites.

Playing with shapes, creating flowers through spirals, overlapping shapes, outlining. Our new abstract pieces such as the Peony dress, Lana and Orangey dress were influenced by this artist.

The Tate Modern is planning a 2023 exhibition of her work for everybody who is interested. We’re definitely going to pop our heads in.
